The Victorian Foundation for Survivors of Torture Inc. (VFST) provides a range of services to people in Victoria who have been subject to torture or other traumatic events prior to their arrival in Australia.  This group includes refugees and asylum seekers. It is non-denominational, politically neutral and non-aligned.

The Coordinator is part of the Direct Service team which provides services in the form of counselling, advocacy, family support, group work, psycho-education, information sessions, complementary therapies and community based work. These twelve month positions are located at our Dallas office and are to replace staff who have taken other roles internally. The Coordinator, as part of the leadership team, is responsible for a team of Counsellor/Advocates in the delivery of high quality services to our clients.

We are seeking applicants who have highly developed trauma informed therapeutic skills with experience in program delivery utilising effective systems and processes. You will be an experienced team leader with the ability to support and manage the work of a multidisciplinary team, along with excellent interpersonal skills and collaborative working style.

Remuneration is based on our Enterprise Agreement 2014 up to $91,370 pro rata. Benefits include generous salary packaging, leave loading, and a range of flexible working options, a highly supportive team environment, excellent training, support and development opportunities.
