A rare opportunity has arisen for a dynamic and skilled Senior Child and Youth Mental Health Clinician to lead our Intake, Assessment, Consultation and brief Treatment Team (iACT), supported by an energetic and passionate leadership team.
About the Team
The Early in Life Mental Health Service (ELMHS) provides assessment and treatment to infants, children, young people (0-25 yrs) and their families in the southern region of Melbourne. We offer a range of treatment options including individual therapy, parent work, family therapy, therapeutic groups, and inpatient programs.
The Intake, Assessment, Consultation and brief Treatment Team (iACT) offers a recovery oriented model of care, based on the Choice and Partnership Approach (CAPA). We provide up to six sessions of assessment and brief treatment. This team includes psychiatrists, discipline seniors, and an experienced multidisciplinary team. We support people facing issues including school refusal, anxiety and depression, eating disorders, psychosis, developmental issues, self-harm, and suicidal Ideation. We provide clinical options including choice appointments, urgent appointments, diagnostic assessments, brief treatments, and secondary and primary consultations.
About the Role
This team requires a full time Senior Clinician/Team Coordinator to lead the team. The role requires a clinician with extensive mental health experience across the 0-25 age range to work closely with our Psychiatric Triage Service, ECATT, and other teams across the catchment to ensure that young people and families are receiving the right care and the right time.
You will have strong skills in leading teams, energetically and collaboratively. You will have strong leadership skills and the capacity to maximise opportunities for creative work practice in a busy team. This role is graded at Grade 3 Psychology (PL4), Social Work, (YC49) Occupational Therapy (YB27) and Speech pathology (YB54) and Grade 4 Nursing level (NP50). This is a full time permanent position.
