Keen to make a difference to patient care and outcome, this is a great opportunity to join a fantastic multidisciplinary environment where you will have the chance to work with a variety of consumers. Accountable to the Team Manager, you will provide assessment and treatment services for consumers of NALHN which aims to optimise health outcomes. With excellent educational opportunities and expert supervision, you will rotate through a series of clinical services. Primarily, your duties will include mental health assessment, provision of psychological services, provision of accredited clinical psychology supervision and service development.
You will apply clinical experience, increasing clinical knowledge and professional competence to plan, implement and evaluate comprehensive and integrated services to the needs of consumers of NALHN. In addition, you will work collaboratively with the Allied Health multidisciplinary team and liaise directly with medical and nursing staff of NALHN, and with other community agencies.
You must hold an appropriate degree or equivalent qualification and general registration with the Psychology Board of Australia with an endorsed area of practice in Clinical Psychology. Your demonstrated competency in the clinical management and treatment of a broad range of conditions will be complemented by sound therapy skills. You will have proven proficiency in mental health assessment and treatment techniques, including time management skills to effectively manage a caseload. With drive and initiative, you will show a proven commitment to improve personal and professional skills through self-directed learning and evaluation in line with NALHN objectives.
