Emotional Balance has been established for over 10 years and it is one of the busiest psychology practices in the Logan Area. We receive referrals for a variety of presentations and our clients range from young children to families, adults, couples and the elderly. Consequently, we focus on maximising the scope of our provision of evidence based counselling services in order to deploy the appropriate help for our clients.

With an increase in demand, we have a number of positions available for passionate and dedicated Psychologists to join our team who wants to make a difference where it is needed most. If you are looking for a work environment that is both challenging and rewarding then we want you to apply:

We offer the following:

  • All clients will be provided to you. We have enough referrals to book you a full day of clients depending on your requirements
  • A rental fee where all you pay is $130 plus GST per day you use
  • You earn everything you make (you can earn up to $130,000.00 pa)
  • All counselling fees go directly into your account
  • Work weekdays or weekends
  • Work between 1 to 5 days
  • You manage your own hours
  • Integrated IT system to enable electronic note taking and online access to diary system
  • Supervision by STAP accredited supervisor (if required)
  • Peer supervision
  • Supportive and relaxed Team Environment
  • The use of your own office
  • Full Administration support including diary management, marketing, Medicare requirements and setting yourself up

Professional Requirements/Skills Criteria

  • Full registration with the AHPRA
  • Eligible to register with Medicare as a psychologist
  • Ability to work independently
  • Excellent communication skills with demonstrated ability to build good rapport quickly and easily.
  • Ability to liaise with general practitioners, psychiatrists, other allied health professionals, schools, referral agencies and stake holders
  • Skills and competency in formulating and implementing treatment plans, risk assessment and case reviews.
  • Demonstrated ability for advanced written communication, (report writing, psychological reports, and assessment).
