As one of the largest providers of male family violence services in the Bayside region, we are seeking focussed, enthusiastic and experienced workers to join our expanding Family Violence Program. The Star Health Family Violence Program has a strong focus on providing coordinated and holistic interventions through the provision of individual counselling and group programs to men, women and children. Star Health has a strong history of providing services in response to family violence and is committed to enhancing the safety of women and children.  

We currently have part-time and full-time opportunities available, providing:

Please address the following selection criteria in your cover letter.

 

·         Degree or Diploma in social work, psychology or other related qualification. Eligibility for membership of either AASW or other relevant professional association

·         Sound understanding of the theory and practice of working with men who use violence towards women and children.

·         Demonstrated understanding of the issues underpinning family violence and its effects on women and children

·         Ability to undertake family violence assessments and respond to risk issues in order to address the safety and wellbeing of women and children.
