Mental Health Clinician - Warrnambool Adult Access (Triage) Team

An exciting opportunity exists for a suitably qualified health professional (Social Worker, Registered Nurse, Psychologist or Occupational Therapist) to join our Warrnambool Adult Access Team in the following roles:

 

·                     Mental Health Clinician - permanent 48 hours per fortnight

·                     Mental Health Clinician – temporary until January 2019, 80 hours per fortnight

 

You will work as part of a multi-disciplinary team providing triage and crisis response, as well as intake and assessment either via phone or face to face, for consumers presenting with acute and/or ongoing mental health difficulties.  You will then provide short term treatments and/or referrals appropriate to the needs of the individual, their carers and family.

 

We will support you as part of a large team, including multidisciplinary Mental Health Clinicians, Psychiatrists, Peers Support Workers, an Acute Inpatient Unit, and After Hours Crisis Service.  You will work closely with other regional teams and residential services, and will be supported with regular supervision and training.

The successful applicant must hold a current Victoria Driver’s License, Working With Children (WWC) Check and will be required to consent to and undergo a Police Record Check and provide evidence of current Immunisation status in alignment with South West Healthcare’s Immunisation Policy.
