Cygnet Clinic head office is located in the central medical district of Midland on The Avenue. Our clinicians are experienced and dedicated to serving the community and we have expanded to include Psychiatrists in our practice.  We are a very busy practice with a substantially growning wait list.  Our Fremantle practice is smaller but with an excellent team of clinicians including 2 Consultant Psychiatrists to work collabratively.  We would be looking for a Clinicial Psychologist (preferably with doctoral level qualifications) for 2 full days in Fremantle.  In Midland we are looking for a suitable Clinical Psychologist or Clinical Psychologist Registrar x 2 for up to 3 full days.

Reception, booking, online & offsite access, database, business cards, stationary, computers, printers, bank/terminal transaction fees and other operational costs are covered by the clinic. Our subcontractor arrangement (35% to the clinic the rest to the clinican) offers much better terms than most clinics (50/50 is the norm) which is part of the reason for our expansion and retainment of our clinical team.

There is an option for room lease for those interested in this as an alternative arrangement.

What you are provided with:

•  Full case load of clients on our waitlist

•  Promotion of your clinical skills to referring doctors

•  State of the art IT services including database with offsite access

•  Access to Psychological Assessments

•  Offsite calendar updates to phone/tablet/computer

•  Full reception support

Essentially you can just focus on being a Clinical Psychologist.  Our clinic is a vibrant work environment with supportive and experienced clinicians. We all have 1 hour lunch break between 12-1pm together every day to help will collegial support and peer supervision. We have organised quarterly social events to help cohesiveness of the team (and to have a little bit of fun too).

Cygnet is a clinician centric (not management driven) private practice, so you have control over fee increase, reduction (waivers) and case load management.  All of the clinicians including management work clinicially under the same % model.

A summary of income FTE equivalents can be found here: Cygnet Income Equivalents.  All costs are covered by the percentage model so it is impossible to lose money from overheads and running costs.

Cygnet Clinic has an extensive range of referral sources and we are active in a number of different areas including assessment, workers' compensation, motor vehicle insurance based work, EAP, Medicare referrals, and medico-legal reports.  We also actively support supervision of postgraduate students and registrars and are activity involved with applied research with major universities.

This job would suit a professional & motivated clinician who would like to contribute to our current clinical team. Must be eligible for endorsement as a Clinical Psychologist with AHPRA or in final year of registrarship.

Previous experience in working in a private practice would also be beneficial (although not essential). We all take a proportion of bulk billed referrals (up to 3 per day) as there are significant psychosocial difficulties in the Midland area.

We are also looking for a Clinical Neuropsychologist (preferably with a doctoral degree level qualification) to contract occasional work and in to work in collaboration with our Consultant Neuropsychiatrist when required.  Given the Neuropsychologist will be occassional assessments, it would be best suited to practicioners with their own assessment materials.  The Clinical Neuropsychologist will take 90% of fees charged (with 10% to the clinic).  Fees for Neuropsychological assessments tend to be high, but the successful contractor is free to set their fees on a case-by-case basis.
