(0.5 FTE) Part Time Permanent Position
This new position will provide Paediatric Psychological services as part of a multidisciplinary team delivering comprehensive primary health care to schools within the Cape, consistent with the Apunipima Way and Model of Care, maximising health outcomes for young children of Cape York in an educational based setting.
The successful candidate will possess relevant qualification from a registered tertiary institution, registration with the Australian Health Regulation Agency (AHPRA), and possession of a current annual licence certificate is essential. Psychology Board of Australia endorsement to supervise postgraduate students, provisional psychologists, and psychologists completing the registrar program is highly desirable.
Additionally experience in undertaking successful interventions with Aboriginal and/or Torres Strait Islander peoples and communities, delivered in a variety of modalities including client education, individual assessment, individual and group therapeutic interventions and community development and knowledge of current child protection legislation, Mental Health Legislation, policies and procedures, and demonstrated ability to contribute to the effective application of guidance in multidisciplinary work environments are requirements for this role.
