As an experienced and highly competent
clinician, you will contribute to the delivery of high quality psychological
services within the multidisciplinary mental health service in Mount Gambier.
You will contribute to the improvement of quality, safe, community-driven
mental health services and provide clinical Psychology and consultancy services
that support the recovery of mental health consumers living in rural and remote
areas of South Australia. As a clinical leader, mentor and supervisor, you will
provide clinical support and profession-specific supervision (including
Psychology Board approved supervision) to Psychology professionals and
students, and play a vital leadership role in upholding clinical Psychology
professional standards and practices within the mental health service. You will
hold a portfolio on behalf of the Psychology profession to develop, encourage
and promote increased expertise and service improvements. As part of the
regional clinical leadership, you will represent local teams, regions and the
mental health service on relevant committees, and may be required to contribute
to or manage relevant projects. The role has designated 70% clinical and
leadership duties and 30% for Psychology leadership, portfolio and supervision
You must be a registered Psychologist
with the Psychology Board of Australia (PsyBA), with endorsement as a Clinical
Psychologist, and have Psychology Board approval as clinical supervisor at all
relevant levels. Confident in undertaking a leadership role, you will be highly
skilled in developing, providing, promoting and evaluating psychological
assessment and interventions consistent with evidence-based practice and health
service priorities. You will demonstrate a commitment to ensuring consumer-centred
practice and community engagement principles are embedded into the planning,
delivery and evaluation of psychology services.
