You will be responsible for the provision of a range of neuropsychology services to clients of the Brain Injury Rehabilitation Unit (BIRU) and their families, in order to achieve better health, independence and quality of life outcomes for clients. Maintaining the clinical management of a complex caseload, you will administer and analyse neuropsychological tests and other relevant investigations. You will contribute to inter-disciplinary team management of patient care, including assessing and developing rehabilitation programs to manage identified deficits, including ongoing feedback to the treating team, patients and patients’ families. As part of your role, you will also contribute to Psychology education and quality improvement and planning activities. You may also participate in designing, implementing and assisting with clinical research projects as appropriate.
You will have a Masters Degree in Clinical Neuropsychology or equivalent as recognised by the Psychology Board of Australia (PsyBA), and have registration as a Psychologist with PsyBA under the provisions of the Health Practitioner Regulation National Law (SA) Act 2010 and Regulations. To apply for the AHP3 level, you will be endorsed in Neuropsychology area of practice and hold approved supervisor status with the PsyBA. This will be supported by your skills in the neuropsychological assessment and management of individuals with an Acquired Brain Injury or neurological condition. You will demonstrate excellent communication, liaison and teamwork skills, and bring the ability to provide consultancy services to hospital units and outside agencies.
