Registrars to join our team. Working as a part of an integrated community multidisciplinary
mental health team, you will be responsible for the delivery of evidence-based
psychology-specific assessment, case conceptualisation, consultation,
individual and group therapy. You will work collaboratively with consumers,
carers, and other staff within the team and the community, striving to develop
and implement clinical plans to maximise outcomes for consumers to support
recovery and successful community tenure. As part of your role, you will
participate in educational, supervision, quality improvement and planning
activities. The Mental Health Clinical Program is made up of a range of
multidisciplinary teams providing recovery-focused clinical services to
consumers. These teams include acute, community and rehabilitation teams in
adult and older persons’ services. The severity of the consumer’s mental
disorder and/or disability necessitates regular review and follow-up to
facilitate improved functioning and community tenure.
need to hold an appropriate Master’s degree in Clinical Psychology or an
equivalent qualification, and have general registration with the Psychology
Board of Australia (PsyBA). This will be supported by practical experience in
working with individuals with mental health conditions, including risk assessment
and comprehensive bio-psychosocial assessment skills to inform a psychological
case conceptualisation and a treatment plan. Confident in contributing to the
development and implementation of group therapy programs based upon
evidence-based practice, you will demonstrate your ability to maintain
therapeutic working relationships whilst working as a Psychologist.
