The 30 Catholic schools and colleges of the Cairns Diocese educate almost 11,500 students – from Tully in the South, west to the Atherton Tablelands, and north to the Torres Strait.

The Student Wellbeing & Diversity directorate is a growing, dynamic team of professionals who support the inclusion and wellbeing of students. We have a small number of permanent opportunities with flexible works options including full and part time roles.

A little about us and the role:

       CEO Allied Health Scale - $85,534 to $129,987 gross per annum (full time equivalent)

       We are a growing, dynamic team consisting of Allied Health professionals (occupational therapists, speech language pathologists, physiotherapists and psychologists), counsellors, and educators

       We believe in lifelong learning and provide ongoing professional learning and networking opportunities

       Supervision and peer supervision provided

       Flexible work arrangements are available including RDOs- we welcome applications from both full time/part time candidates

       5 weeks annual leave with additional leave purchasing available

       Occasional overnight travel may be required

       Salary packaging offers available including new vehicle options

Hannah Chapman (Manager Counselling & Psychology) leads our team of office-based psychologists and school-based counsellors. Psychologists work together with school counsellors, school staff, families, and external service providers in identifying and supporting students to overcome barriers to their participation and achievement at school, by way of assessment, intervention and capacity building.

Emily Bishop (Manager Therapy Services) leads a team of speech language pathologists, occupational therapists and physiotherapists, working closely with schools to ensure that each student can access and participate in the school environment through assessment, intervention, capacity building, and collaboration with school-based teams.
