Patches is a multidisciplinary Therapy and Assessment team which includes Neuropsychologists, Forensic Psychologists, Psychologists, Paediatricians, Psychiatrists, Speech Pathologists and Occupational Therapists, extensively supported by management and clinical administrative staff.

We are well established in WA and the NT and are now expanding to South Australia, Victoria, New South Wales (NSW) and Tasmania. We are looking for energetic, motivated, passionate psychologists to help us strengthen our service delivery in Perth.


The Role

We are looking for enthusiastic and committed Assessment Psychologists to join Patches on a casual, part-time or full-time basis at our clinic in Subiaco, WA. You will be predominantly part of a multidisciplinary assessment team and be responsible for delivering high quality psychological and neuropsychological assessments, specifically to paediatric, youth and adult clients with justice and corrections services and non-government organisations (NGOs).

The successful candidate will be available to commence as soon as available and will have the skill to:

  • Conduct diagnostic assessments and reports for children and adults in the capacity of a Consultant Psychologist with limited supervision
  • Participate in multidisciplinary assessments for conditions such as Foetal Alcohol Spectrum Disorders (FASD) and Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD)
  • Assist Paediatricians and Psychiatrists in multidisciplinary assessment of Attention Deficit Hyperactivity Disorder (ADHD) and mental health disorders
  • Conduct psychological assessments as a single clinician for cognitive or educational assessments, mental health disorders and forensic issues
  • Provide clinical feedback to families and other stakeholders/referring agencies as required


Essential Criteria

  • More than 3 years clinical experience in the field of psychology, preferably with paediatric clients
  • A knowledge of evidence-based clinical psychological, neuropsychological and/or forensic psychological theories, models and practices
  • A sound knowledge of laws and ethical standards governing psychological practice
  • Knowledge and experience of delivering clinical services in a cross-cultural environment
  • Highly developed written, conceptual, analytical, planning, problem solving and organisational skills
  • Experience with child protection or justice clients


Eligibility requirements

  • Current full registration by the Psychology Board of Australia as a Psychologist
  • Masters degree and/or Endorsement in Clinical, Forensic, Clinical Neuropsychology or Educational & Developmental Psychology
  • Current Australian Drivers Licence
  • Current National Police Clearance
  • Current Working with Children Check
  • Australian/New Zealand citizen or Permanent Resident
  • Proof of COVID-19 vaccination or medical exemption
