Duties:   The psychologist is a member of an inter-disciplinary team and works with children and young people with developmental, cognitive, social, emotional, behavioural and physical difficulties, and exceptional needs (including giftedness) and their families. The psychologist works with preschool and school staff, and parents to develop evidence based psychology interventions that include proactive, targeted and intensive strategies that can be adapted for learning and home contexts.
 
 
Essential Qualifications:
AHP1:An appropriate degree or equivalent which entitles registration (provisional) with the Psychology Board of Australia
AHP2:Current and full registration (general) with the Psychology Board of Australia.
AHP3:Current and full registration (general) with the Psychology Board of Australia. Psychology Board of Australia approved supervisor 
 
Special Conditions: A current driver’s licence and the willingness to drive is a requirement. Successful applicants will be required to gain a Department for Human Services (DHS) child-related employment screening prior to being employed which is required to be renewed every three years before expiry.  The incumbent will be required to undertake RAN – Responding to Abuse and Neglect Training full day course and the updated online course posted online every three years. 
 
Salary Range (will be adjusted to actual hours worked):
 
AHP1:$63,019 - $76,961 p.a
AHP2:$81,352 - $94,529 pa
AHP3:$96,357 - $103,485 pa
