MELBOURNE CHILDREN’S' PSYCHOLOGY CLINIC (MCPC) – IVANHOE
We are a group of Clinical Psychologists with diverse expertise and training in infant, child and adolescent clinical psychology.

We are a highly innovative and creative team. Psychologists work from a range of backgrounds including: CBT; EMDR; Internal Family Systems, ACT; Schema; Synergetic Play Therapy; Theraplay, Dyadic Developmental Psychotherapy; Wait, Watch & Wonder and; Sand tray therapy.
Our Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD) Team are trained in the ADOS, ADI-R and run the SAS group. There is great opportunity to develop your skills as desired. We are expanding our group knowledge in the area of complex and differential assessment (e.g., ASD versus Attachment Difficulties, Externalising Difficulties, Selective Mutism etc..) and intervention (developing knowledge and skills in the treatment of complex presentations including Pathological Demand Avoidance).
We are looking for a Clinical or Educational & Developmental Psychologist (or a psychologist registrar with eligibility for endorsement in the area of Clinical Psychology) to join our team as a sessional independent contractor (full time & part time available, flexible times). We are looking for someone with expereince and interest in the area of ASD but would alos support a varied case load.
We have a strong referral base throughout our current networks and a full case load can be accommodated immediately or as desired.

MCPC is located at 30 Seddon Street IVANHOE and is walking distance from the train station and centrally located within Ivanhoe shops.
The position includes:

v Ongoing provision of referrals via our intake service that includes a thorough intake assessment and screening procedure.
v Electronic practice management diary that is accessible from anywhere to help you keep track of your appointments and provides you with financial reports and summaries.
v Administration support that includes; intake and management of all appointments, full reception services, invoicing & account facilities, and support in completing Medicare reporting requirements.
vRegular Clinical Psychology Supervision provided by the principal psychologist (who is endorsed as a clinical supervisor by the Australian Psychology Board).
v Regular Group Supervision and Professional Development (that meets board criteria for ongoing registration requirements).
v Flexible hours.
v Access to a range of client resources and a large clinical library.
v Access to a range of psychometric tests & synchronised I-Pads for ease of testing.
v Experience in the assessment and treatment of children and their families with Autism Spectrum Disorder
v Masters or Doctoral Degree in Psychology.
v Eligibility to provide Medicare psychology services.
v Endorsement or Eligibility for Endorsement in the area of Clinical Psychology or Educational & Developmental Psychology.
v Competence in diagnosis using DSM-V criteria
v Risk assessment skills
v Experience in the assessment, diagnosis and treatment of children and adolescents with a range of psychological issues
v Experience in working with parents and families
v Experience in working with diverse cultural groups

v Professionally insured by a provider approved by the Board of Psychology
