Child and Youth Psychologist

Our team is growing and we are seeking child psychologists who are passionate about working with kids, teens and parents in a multi-disciplinary paediatric setting. Our practice is family-focused practice with lots of opportunities for collaboration and shared work and we offer families a unique wrap-around service.

About the role:

§  Working with kids/teens with mental health difficulties and/or neurodevelopmentally diverse conditions

§  Assessment of needs, implement interventions for anxiety, mood, challenging behaviours, self-regulation, affect regulation, parent psychoeducation, interpersonal skills, and ASD/ADHD screening if required

§  Liaising with schools, providing psychoeducation and support to families 

§  Possible opportunities for focussing on ASD specific presentations

§  The position is very flexible and could be part-time or subcontracting, we can build the role around your preferences.

§  A wonderful opportunity for early career psychologists to build their skills in working with children and families 

 Essential to the role:

ü  Fully registered psychologist (AHPRA) 

ü  Eligible to register with Medicare

ü  Professional indemnity insurance

ü  Have great clinical intervention skills

ü  Great communication skills and focus on teamwork

Highly regarded:

§  At least two years post registration experience

§  Demonstrated experience in engaging and working effectively with children/adolescents who are on the spectrum

Family Minded is a niche child and family psychology practice in north-western Melbourne. Sunbury is just 30 mins from the start of the Tulla Fwy and we are walking distance from the train station. We are a highly sought after service with a strong local reputation for friendly, family-focussed support and clinical expertise across a range of clinical presentations.
