Be a part of something special
Calling
Senior Psychologist, Psychologist and Organisational Psychologist
professionals
For over 100 years, the NSW Rural Fire Service (RFS) has been a vital
part of the community, working hard to protect life, property and the
environment from bush fires. We are the world’s largest volunteer
firefighting service, with over 76,000 members, proudly built on a strong
tradition of service, trust, resilience, respect, and teamwork.

The 2019-20 bush fire season saw our members serve and protect in the
face of the most extraordinary circumstances – because they care about their
communities and without hesitation will be there for them in tough times.
But who cares for our members, especially when the going gets tough for
them? That’s where you come in.
We are looking to substantially expand our mental health and wellbeing
team, to ensure the best quality support is available to our RFS volunteer and staff
members now and into the future. This means making sure we have dedicated,
accessible professionals across the State (North Eastern, North Western,
Western, Hunter, Greater Sydney, South Eastern, South Western, and
Headquarters).
We have several exciting
opportunities available for qualified professionals who are keen to make a real
difference, through critical incident support, short-term counselling services
and referral pathways to care, and holistic and proactive health and wellbeing
programs.
