Clinical or Forensic Psychologist

AUSTRALIA WIDE - Flexible contract work

Expressions of interest are sought from experienced Psychologists to provide psychological assessment services for a federal government client.  Suitable candidates will have practice area endorsement or relevant experience in forensic and/or clinical psychology.

Optimal Health and Performance Pty Ltd is an ACT based psychology practice operating since 1998.  We provide a range of psychological services including counselling and organisational/forensic assessments.

We are a Prime contractor who provide psychological assessment services to a federal government department and related agencies.

We welcome new team members who are experienced service providers under a previous PAS contract or similar contracts with other departments.

We also encourage contact from psychologists who would like to explore part-time or full-time contracting work.  We encourage applicants from throughout Australia as the work can be done remotely.

Role Description

You will be required to do psychological assessments and standardised reports to address employment-related factors defined by the client.  The assessments involve analysis of multiple sources of information including testing and interview.  Specific training, ongoing mentoring and QA support is provided, and you will work in a team of experienced forensic and clinical psychologists.

Employment arrangement can be as an employee or subcontractor.  Hours of work are flexible, and assessments and reports can be completed at our offices in the ACT or from your current location.  Interviews can be conducted via secure videoconferencing methods thereby enabling genuine work-from-home opportunity and accessibility for regional psychologists.

More information will be provided when you contact us to discuss the position.

ACT based applicants

Our practice is hiring psychologists to provide counselling and other services for private and government clients based at our Canberra office.  An employment arrangement would suit those who are based in the ACT and looking for a mix of assessment and counselling work without having to run their own practice.
