headspace Goulburn provides an outreach in Yass to provide early intervention mental health services to young people aged 12-25 who have or may be at risk of developing a mental health and/or substance use disorder or have economic and social recovery needs. It is a part of the Youth Mental Health Group within Grand Pacific Health.
About the position
We are seeking a Mental Health Clinician (MHC) experienced in working with young people to ensure best outcomes are delivered in a youth friendly context.
The MHC will work collaboratively with young people and their support systems to identify their support needs, goals and to develop collaborative care plans. This position will involve working closely with the other members of headspace Goulburn with an outreach to Yass team and external service providers to maximise care outcomes for young people referred to headspace Goulburn with an outreach to Yass.
This position is based in Yass as an outreach from headspace Goulburn, until a headspace Yass service is opened later this year. The position is part time (15 hours non-billable MBS candidate, 22.5 MBS billable candidate) and is fixed term until 30 June 2022 with possibility of extension.

What you’ll need
Current full or provisional AHPRA registration as a clinical psychologist, registered psychologist, or occupational therapist (accredited with OTA as meeting the Australian Competency Standards for occupational therapists in mental health), or accreditation with the AASW as a mental health social worker.
Demonstrated understanding of key issues about the health and wellbeing needs of young people
Demonstrated ability to engage with young people, their family, friends and carers
