An exciting opportunity exists for a Psychologist to join our team in the Department of Health, Royal Hobart Hospital.

This opportunity is in our Inpatient Psychology Team.  

We are seeking a suitably qualified Psychologist with post graduate training in Clinical or Clinical Neuropsychology and a strong commitment to providing client centred care in an hospital setting.

Royal Hobart Hospital Psychologists are part of a broader Psychology Department working alongside other Neuropsychologists, Clinical Psychologists, Allied Health and medical teams. We offer Professional Development support, Peer Review and clinical supervision to staff including Post-graduate Students and Registrars as well as support, mentoring and development from a psychology leadership team.

The Royal Hobart Hospital is the largest hospital in the state and is the tertiary referral centre in Tasmania.  

Location:  Hobart 

Salary:  $94,469 to $111,765 pro-rata, per annum

Please note that access to salaries beyond $105,158 is subject to completion of a relevant Graduate Diploma or application to the personal upgrade scheme in accordance with Schedule 8 of the Allied Health Professionals Public Sector Unions Wages Agreement 2019

Period of Employment: Permanent, full-time, part-time day work, working up to 76 hours per fortnight commencing ASAP. Please note this process may be used to fill subsequent full time and part time vacancies. 

The Role:

·       Provide psychological input to patients attending the Royal Hobart Hospital, including but not limited to psychological, cognitive, behavioural and/or capacity assessments, and appropriate group and/or individual interventions.  

·       Prepare psychological and neuropsychological reports, including medico-legal and Guardianship and Administration Board of Tasmania reports as required.
