Professional 3 (Remuneration Package Range $123,326 - $137,926)
Comprising salary $106,568 - $119,351, superannuation, leave loading and the value of 2 weeks extra recreation leave.
In addition to above Package Range; postgraduate qualification and professional development allowances and salary sacrifice provisions apply.
Primary and Public Health Care - Prison Health
Fixed for 6 months in Alice Springs
We are seeking an enthusiastic professionally qualified clinical counsellor with the capacity to utilise a social emotional wellbeing framework to provide holistic, trauma-informed, evidence based, clinical counselling and support in the areas of mental health alcohol and other drugs and social emotional wellbeing to prisoners at the Alice Springs Correctional Centre appropriate to Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander people.
The position is responsible for providing expert advice to the multidisciplinary team on program and clinical issues, follow defined service quality standards, work health and safety policies and procedures relating to the work being undertaken in order to ensure high quality, safe services and workplaces, and fostering a positive workplace culture through exemplary leadership practices and role modelling behaviour.
The position will also be required to facilitate effective service delivery through the utilisation of appropriate information systems, the maintenance of relevant statistics and ensuring accurate documentation and communication. In addition to contributing to research and undertake quality evaluation at program and professional network level.
Prison Health provides clinical services to adults sentenced and residing at Alice Springs Correctional Centre, low security prison reintegration centre including the youth detention centre as required within a multidisciplinary service delivery health team framework.
The position reports to the District Manager of Prison Health; Primary & Public Health Care for providing appropriate, sound clinical and professional care, which affects the work processes, services, and clients of the speciality service.
