Registered Psychologist – multidisciplinary practice
  • Flexible part or full-time private practice position.
  • Great professional development opportunities and a generous remuneration package.
  • A fantastic multidisciplinary team environment.
  • The opportunity to make a tangible difference to the health and wellbeing of regional and remote patients.

About us

Healthy Mind Solutions (HMS) is a multidisciplinary practice newly established and based in Shepparton, Victoria. Our focus is on providing a comprehensive healthcare service to patients of all ages who are suffering from mental illness and indicated disorders and conditions, including NDIS participants.

To support this we’re building a team including a range of allied health clinicians, psychiatrists and nurses. We collaborate and focus on quality services, ensuring our patients have access to a range of complementary services from the one location, and are provided with streamlined treatment, convenience and comfort.

Our clinical director is a highly regarded and experienced psychiatrist, dedicated to using technologically advanced and evidence-based treatments to achieve improved clinical outcomes for all patients.

The opportunity

We’re seeking an experienced registered psychologist to join the team. You’ll bring a drive to achieve patient results, a flexible can-do approach and the ability to work collaboratively to achieve optimal patient outcomes.

This role provides considerable flexibility for the right person, including part-time and full-time options, as well as the potential to blend onsite and telehealth consultations where clinically appropriate.

You’ll join a practice with a truly patient-centred and solution focused model of care; treating all patients with dignity and respect, providing them with a range of solution-focused treatment options, and involving them in all decisions about their health.

The role includes provision of evidence-based psychological treatment and care to patients of all ages. This will include assessments, therapy and management of a range of presentations, mental disorders and conditions. You’ll be well supported to provide high quality and efficient service and care, and to extend your skills, experience and knowledge of the latest technological treatment innovations.

Plus, at Healthy Mind Solutions it truly is a team approach. We collaborate, support one another, and strive to provide excellent service to all patients, and stakeholders. We‘re passionate and dedicated, and you’ll have the opportunity to work, live and provide invaluable support to people in this wonderful regional community.

Additionally, you’ll have many opportunities to gain personal and professional rewards and satisfaction.

This is you

To launch successfully into this role, you’ll have practiced psychology for a minimum of 3 years’, ideally in a private practice setting. Whilst a clinical practice endorsement or other post-graduate qualification or developed area of specific interest experience is not essential, these would be highly regarded. Current AHPRA registration, membership of the Australian Psychological Society and professional indemnity insurance are a must, as are a current driver’s licence and your own transport.

You’re a team player, working effectively with both clinical and admin colleagues, and possess great time management skills to ensure all clinical and documentation aspects of your role are delivered in a timely manner.

Proficiency in the Office/Office 365 suite will also stand you in good stead, as will experience with medical software packages used in private practice.

We’re passionate about supporting our team members’ professional and personal growth. As such, you need a willingness and drive to learn and grow, plus contribute your knowledge and skills to the rest of the team.

Your excellent communication skills, empathy and responsiveness, combined with professionalism, attention to detail and an ability to prioritise and successfully organise your time, will make you an invaluable member of our team.

Benefits include:

  • An excellent remuneration & benefits package, including relocation assistance and a health/wellbeing allocation.
  • Lots of opportunities to extend your clinical knowledge and skills in a supportive and progressive private practice environment.
  • Joining a fantastic team, with a comprehensive and collaborative approach to patient care.
  • The satisfaction of truly making a difference in the lives of your patients and the community.
