Take the next step in your career in a highly rewarding role as a Psychologist in the Central Adelaide Local Health Network (CALHN). An exciting opportunity exists for an enthusiastic Psychologist to join the Psychology Consult Service (PCS). The position is based at The Queen Elizabeth Hospital, with the possibility of work at other CALHN sites depending on demand. In this integral role, you will contribute to the provision of a range of inpatient psychology services, striving to achieve better health outcomes for patients. This will encompass psychological assessment, including psychometric and behavioural measures. You will provide appropriate evidence-based psychological intervention, such as behaviour management programs, psychoeducation and counselling services to patients. 

The Psychology Consult Service provides psychology input to a variety of multidisciplinary teams across the hospital, including general medical and surgical wards. The service is responsible for psychological assessment and brief therapy for inpatients during their admission, and facilitates engagement with community services or private psychologists on discharge, as required.

You must hold an appropriate degree (Master’s Degree in Clinical or Health Psychology) or equivalent qualification recognised by the Psychology Board of Australian (PsyBA), and have general registration with AHPRA.  Membership, or eligibility for membership, of the Australian Psychological Society, is also valued. Experience in multidisciplinary teamwork and strong communication skills are essential.
