We now have an exciting opportunity for a dedicated professional to join our dynamic team of educators and learning experts in the Psychology discipline within the College of Healthcare Sciences.

  • Full time, fixed term to 31 December 2024
  • Academic Level B: $97,856 - $115,465 plus up to 17% superannuation
  • Based at the JCU Townsville Bebegu Yumba Campus.
 

What you can accomplish in the role
Strengthening the Discipline of Psychology by pursuing excellence in teaching, you will coordinate subjects across campuses.  With a focus on teaching in undergraduate courses, you will deliver lectures and tutorial classes, prepare teaching materials, mark examination papers and other assessment tasks. You will also conduct independent research activity and provide supervision for a program of study of 4th year and postgraduate students engaged in research activity. 
 

What you will bring to the role

In addition to a PhD in Psychology or near completion, you will demonstrate high quality teaching and coordination experience in the area of environmental psychology with flexibility to teach into a range of other subjects (including Social Psychology). You will have a record of research achievement in any or several of the areas of environmental psychology, social psychology and core foundational areas of psychology. The ability to work independently and as a member of a team will also be essential to succeed in this rewarding role.
