About your new team:
Orygen Specialist Program (OSP), a program of
The Royal Melbourne Hospital, provides mental health services to young
people aged 15-25 (soon to be 12-25) and their families/carers in
Melbourne's northwest and western suburbs.
Your new role
A multidisciplinary Chief
Grade 5 role open to Social Workers, Occupational Therapists, Speech
Pathologist, Dietitians and Exercise Physiologists.
As a key
member of the Orygen leadership team, you will contribute to
service-wide strategic planning, quality improvement, service innovation
and research promotion. In this role, you will also:
- Have oversight of the allied health workforce i.e. credentialing,
scope of practice and professional supervision of students, registrars
and interns
- Lead, advocate and ensure the delivery of best practice treatment
across all levels of the allied health workforce, including maintenance
of high clinical standards and the evaluation of service provision
- Contribute to workforce planning, professional development,
education, recruitment, retention and workforce reform of the allied
health disciplines
- Oversee allied health instruments, tests, materials and supplies
that may be required by our allied health workforce for service
provision to young people and families/carers
About You:
- Relevant registration and qualifications (see attached position description)
- Comprehensive clinical and senior leadership experience in mental health services and allied health programs
- Demonstrated experience in project management, and working with complex and competing priorities and time constraints
- Demonstrated experience in developing and evaluating educational activities in public mental health settings
- Expertise in producing written materials and an ability to promptly
prepare reports, grant applications and other forms of documentation
