Knox Grammar School is an independent, multi-campus
Kindergarten to Year 12 day and boarding school for boys, located at Wahroonga
on Sydney’s North Shore. In addition to the single-sex campuses, Knox also
operates Wahroonga Preparatory School, a co-educational campus for students
Pre-Kindergarten to Year 6.

ABOUT THE ROLE
Knox
Grammar School has been at the forefront of Positive Education for the past twelve
years. A strong focus on practical evidence-based approach in positive
psychology and wellbeing science underpins our School Community and is embedded
in our strategic vision.
As
Boarding Wellbeing Leader, you will be a key member of the Wellbeing Team at
Knox Grammar School.
This
part time role is focussed on the design and implementation of a range of
innovative programs that support best practice in relation to our boarding
student’s wellbeing and covering such areas as:
- Positive Psychology
- Counselling and Wellbeing
- Stress Management
- Peer Relationships
- Effective academic and study skills
This
position is permanent part-time (term time, plus 1 week). The working hours
will be negotiated with the successful candidate; it would include a minimum of
3 days per week, between 3pm to 9 pm, totalling between 15 and 20 hours per
week.
The
successful candidate will be able to demonstrate.
- Current professional registration in Psychology, Social Work or Counselling
- Experience working with young people as a counsellor.
- Knowledge of psychological principles and adolescent development.
- A working knowledge of Positive Psychology.
- Ability to participate in a team approach to child and adolescent wellbeing.
