About ELMHS

Early in Life Mental Health Services (ELMHS) provides assessment and treatment for infants, children, adolescents, young people and their families. We work with the 0-18 age group in the Southern Region, providing a comprehensive assessment service and a range of treatment options including inpatient treatment in times of crisis, community (outpatient) treatment, group programs, family therapy, and specialist services.

We work with families to address a number of complex issues they may be experiencing, including school refusal, parent/child relationship difficulties, anxiety, depression, trauma related issues, self-harm, suicidal thinking, eating disorders, neuro developmental presentations and psychosis. We also work collaboratively with families, schools and other agencies to create identified areas for change and work strongly from a relational and systemic framework.

We now have a part-time (4 days per week) fixed-term opportunity available to work as a senior mental health clinician. Social Work, Occupational Therapy, Speech Pathology, Psychology and Nursing disciplines are eligible to apply. We welcome an enthusiastic senior mental health clinician to join our thriving, engaged Adolescent Community Mental Health Team, providing clinic based mental health assessment, formulation and treatment to complex and acute young people in the South East. With exposure to a multidisciplinary team led by consultant psychiatrists, we provide medium term treatment for children, adolescents and their families in the City of Casey, City of Greater Dandenong, Shire of Cardinia and the Frankston and Mornington Peninsula area.
