About the Role

At Thriving Minds Psychology Clinic, we offer a unique opportunity for psychologists to choose between focusing on assessmentsindividual therapy, or a blend of both. We understand that each psychologist has different professional goals, and we provide the flexibility to tailor your role to suit your preferences.

1. Assessments

As an Assessment Psychologist, your role will involve conducting comprehensive assessments across the lifespan, including:

 

  • Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD)
  • Attention-Deficit/Hyperactivity Disorder (ADHD)
  • Cognitive Testing
  • Educational and Learning Disorders
  • Giftedness Assessments

You will have access to our extensive testing library, which includes tools such as the ADOS, ADI-R, WISC, WAIS, WIAT, Connors, Browns, Vinelands, Screening tools, and more. You'll be responsible for administering assessments, providing diagnostic insights, and offering tailored recommendations to support clients' individual needs.

Whether you’re experienced in assessments or looking to develop this skill set, we provide full training and mentorship to ensure you excel in delivering top-tier assessments and reports.

2. Individual Therapy

As a Therapist, you will have the opportunity to provide 1:1 therapy for children, adolescents, and adults, working with a diverse range of presentations. Our clinic values evidence-based practices, and you will play a key role in helping clients navigate challenges, achieve personal goals, and improve their mental health and well-being.

We offer flexibility in the types of therapy you prefer, allowing you to focus on areas that resonate with your professional interests. You'll have access to regular peer supervision and professional development to support your ongoing growth.

Melissa Johnson, our Director, is internationally trained in the UK, US, and Australia, in autism assessments. She has trained clinicians and private psychology teams across Australia and the USA. Melissa is passionate about elevating psychological practice through rigorous training and professional development. At Thriving Minds, she leads with a hands-on approach, offering mentorship and supervision to support your growth as a clinician.
