Research Therapist

About the Role 
We are seeking a part-time therapist to join our therapy team on an exciting government-funded clinical trial of digitally-supported psychological treatments for persisting hallucinations in schizophrenia. It is comparing cognitive behavioural therapy with a new virtual reality-assisted therapy called avatar therapy, delivered across Australia via telehealth from our pioneering Voices Clinic. 

The role will primarily be involved in delivering two manualised therapies to participants enrolled in the trial by our research team, alongside attending peer supervision. The roles will also join a vibrant clinical research team committed to advancing psychological approaches to severe mental illness.

About You  
To be suitable for this role you will need to have experience in the below key accountabilities: 

  • Registration as a psychologist, or as another mental health practitioner with training and experience in the delivery of psychological therapies.
  • Experience in delivering cognitive behavioural therapies to people with complex mental health problems
  • Willingness to deliver manualised interventions with high fidelity within a clinical trial context

Qualifications
Postgraduate qualification in psychology or another health discipline, or substantial equivalent experience
