About the role

• These exciting positions for early-career psychologists are designed to support your transition into the workforce after completing your university-based training, while you undertake your clinical registrar program.
• Two positions are available for new-graduate psychologists seeking clinical psychology endorsement, commencing February 2025.
• During your two-year registrar period, you will have the opportunity to complete two 12-month rotations in services within Alfred Mental and Addiction Health. This will give you clinical work experience in areas such as adult inpatient psychiatry, adult community mental health programs, and child and youth mental health and wellbeing services.  You will be supported by highly experienced supervisors at each rotation site.
• You will provide a range of clinical psychology services to consumers within each service that you rotate through, including but not limited to:  formal psychological assessment, individual, family and group therapy, and clinical case management.  You will participate as a member of each respective multi-disciplinary team in the development and implementation of treatment plans for consumers.
• You will be supported by highly experienced supervisors in each rotation, receive supervision provided by a dedicated Psychology Educator throughout your two-year program, and attend regular peer group supervision.
• We are seeking applications from current final year Clinical Psychology Masters/Doctoral candidates who currently hold provisional registration and expect to attain General Registration with the Psychology Board of Australia by no later than end of January 2025.
