About the Role
We're looking for a skilled Senior Clinical/Health Psychologist to lead the Psychology Consult Service (PCS) at The Queen Elizabeth Hospital (TQEH). This is a temporary contract position working 22.5 hours per week. PCS Psychologists conduct clinical assessments, design and implement intervention programs, and provide education and counselling on an individual and/or group basis. PCS Psychologists also provide consultancy to the multidisciplinary hospital team as required, and regularly participate in multi-disciplinary case discussions regarding patient care. Along with a clinical case load, the Senior Clinical/Health Psychologist will supervise and lead the PCS team. The successful applicant(s) will have health/rehabilitation and supervisory experience, or a strong interest in these areas, and be committed to leading the delivery of world class psychological care that makes a positive impact on the health and recovery of CALHN patients.
We are also open to hearing from Psychologists appointable at the AHP2 level to work within the PCS team.

Supervision is provided for all staff. The AHP3 Senior Clinical/Health Psychologist will provide supervision to AHP2 Psychologists, registrars and students within the PCS team. AHP2 Psychologists can access supervision for endorsement in either Clinical or Health Psychology.
Qualifications
- Must hold Master’s in Clinical or Health Psychology and registered with the Psychology Board of Australia.
- Clinical Skills: Proficient in designing, implementing, and evaluating individual, group, and family interventions across settings.
- Effective Communicator: Demonstrates strong skills in communication, liaison, and multidisciplinary teamwork.
- Informed Practitioner: Knowledgeable about health impacts on patients and familiar with relevant State Government legislation and guidelines.
