About the role
As a clinician working in the Alcohol Tobacco and Other Drugs Service, you will provide a broad range drug alcohol assessments and interventions to individuals, their families and groups in the context of minimising harm from substance use within the Townsville geographical area.

 

Provision of outreach services may include North Ward, Kirwan, Vincent and other locations within the Townsville Hospital and Health Service. This role supports consumers who are of Aboriginal and or Torres Strait Islander culture or who are engaged with Queensland Corrective Services. The role supports consumers who also may be engaged with the Queensland Opiate Treatment Program.

 

What’s on offer?
Permanent Full-time and or Part-time, hours negotiable.

 

Pro rata remuneration package based on full-time equivalent value of up to $132,567 p.a., comprising base salary range of $79,051 - $116,189 p.a. (full-time) or $39.86 - $58.59 p.h. (part-time (+ applicable allowances/benefits) (HP3), recreational leave loading (17.5%), and employer contribution to superannuation (12.75%).

 

Eligible health workers who make the move (interstate or international) to work with us may receive up to $20,000 in incentive payments under the Queensland Health Workforce Attraction Incentive Scheme (conditions apply).

Role requirements
The successful applicant must possess a four year degree in Psychology (Honours, Graduate Diploma) from an accredited tertiary institution and registration with the Psychology Board Board of Australia (AHPRA).
