is expanding and has the following positions available:
Clinical or generalist psychologist (1-2 days per
week) Contract role for the Dandenong and/or Kew clinic. The position is
face-to-face (clinic, schools, and clients homes), online (with some working
from home options available).
Psychservice
is leading the way in both paediatric and adult assessment and psychological
therapy. We have two clinics located in Kew and Dandenong and are a group based
practice composing of 5 clinicians, a practice manager and two administrative
assistants. The Dandeong clinic is located opposite the main public hospital on
David Street and the clinic is part of a wider health centre that includes other
allied health specialists, such as a dietician and a team of doctors and
nurses. The Kew office is located at Kew junction and you will have the opportunity
to work alongside other psychologists in our team. You will have the
opportunity to work collaboratively, and across discipline, to get the best
outcome for your clients. We see a cross-section of clinical disorders
including eating disorders, personality disorders, anxiety and depression,
grief, neurodiverse clients, trauma, functional gut disorders and more. Dr
Tania Pietrzak is the founder and director and is a clinical psychologist and
board approved supervisor with over 24 years of experience. In the team we have
clinical psychology registra’s, generalist psychologists, and a counsellor.
Psychologists in the team receive full admin support. We are a neuroaffirmative
practice, our team is fun, progressive, multilingual (cantonese, French, malay)
with an interperative service at the Dandenong clinic, and we have a fabulous

Our
clinicians are supported clinically with regular in-house individual
supervision and monthly group supervision with Dr Tania Pietrzak as well as daily access to the
senior clinician for ad hoc support. As we are an expanding practice there are
plenty of peer supervision opportunities across the team in addition to what Dr
Tania provides.

Hypnotherapy, Functional gut disorders e.g. Chron’s disease and IBS, Pain,
Couple Therapy (Gottman) and other cognitive information processing
models, conducting functional
behavioural assessments and developing positive behaviour support plans
and social skills training for children and adults.
- You
will also be fully supported to further develop your skills in conductiong
diagnostic assessments for a range of diagnoses such as ASD, ADHD, SLD, ID,
Personality Disorders and Mood disorders. We take pride in ensuring our diagnostic
assessments are meaningful to clients by translating their results into
real world function, and providing comprehensive, individualised treatment
plans highlighting what supports our clients need to reach their
potential.

We
are looking for either a clinical psychologist or a generalist psychologist or
a psychologist near completion of their clinical registrar program to join a
progressive and caring psychology practice. We have a greater need to place a
clinician at the Dandenong clinic however are accepting applications for our
Kew office. This is a 1-2 day position (contractor preferred) with a
highly competitive 60-65% remuneration on collections or an attractive
negotiable salary if wanting to be employed. We are keen to shape a role around
your clinical goals and career progression pathways.
Duties and responsibilities include, but are not
limited to:
- Conduct
a range of psychological assessments such as, but not limited to, autism,
ADHD, SLD, intellectual disability, personality disorders and mood
disorders.
- Carry
out psychological treatments using evidence-based interventions
- Report
writing and GP feedback letters (letters are dictated and transcribed
using AI software and admin send these for you.)
- Deliver
group and individual interventions (groups are co-facilitated with Dr
Tania Pietrzak)
- Maintain
clients by seeking feedback early with clinical feedback tools on iPads
such as SRS and ORS feedback tools.
- Work
with a variety of clients including children, adolescents, adults,
parents, couples, and families (your choice based on your area of
competency or opportunity to grow and extend your professional area of
expertise)
The ideal candidate will have experience and skills
as follows:
- Private
practice experience is preferred.
- Experience
in working with NDIS clients is preferred.
- General
Registration as a psychologist with AHPRA, Registrar or Endorsement as a
Clinical Psychologist with AHPRA.
- Eligibility
for provider registration with Medicare.
- Exprience
working in group therapy settings (preferred).
- Current
Working with Children Check.
- Current
ABN number and professional indemnity insurance if you are a contractor,
GST registered preferred.
- Familiarity
with delivering online treatment.
- Familiarity
with Halaxy and Coviu. Training can be provided.
- Experience
with delivery of CBT, REBT, ACT, DBT, behavioural interventions, CBT-E,
MANTRA, hypnotherapy, EMDR, Family Based Therapy, Gottman Method Couples
Therapy (preferred), motivational interviewing, social skills.
- Experience
with neurodiverse assessments (preferred)
- Great
report writing and case formulation skills.
- Passionate
about improving and supporting the mental health of the community and the client's
well-being and life satisfaction.
- Good
client retention.
- Excellent
verbal and written communication skills.
- Strong
commitment to ongoing professional development.
- Ability
to work independently as well as in a team.
