About the Opportunity
We currently have a new and exciting opportunity to join the
Paediatric Chronic Pain Team as a Senior Clinical/Health Psychologist.
The role closely works with children and their families and
focuses on their health, psychological well-being and their overall quality of
life. You will use your expertise and specialised experience to develop,
coordinate and implement high quality psychological and therapeutic services to
children referred to the Paediatric Chronic Pain Service at Women's and
Children's Hospital and may provide inpatient and outpatient care.
About You:
- You will
have demonstrated ability to apply specialised skills in analysing complex
clinical problems and formulate and implement appropriate courses of
action that can develop clinical and service provision.
- Experience
in conducting psychological assessment and intervention with children,
young people and families experiencing complex emotional, behavioural
and/or cognitive difficulties.
- Demonstrated
leadership and co-ordination experience in a related area
- Willingness
to undertake and collaborate in research opportunities that develop
excellent service provision for children and young people with chronic
pain.
- Willingness
to participate in, and provide, strong supervisory opportunities in the
Women's and Children's Health Network.
