About the role:
The University of Canberra is seeking a dedicated and experienced Psychology Clinic Manager to oversee and enhance the clinical psychology student-led services at the UC Health Clinics.
Operating under the general direction of the Associate Dean Work Integrated Learning (ADWIL), this role is pivotal in managing clinical psychology services provided by Master of Clinical Psychology (MCP) students under supervision, delivering placement education, and contributing to the professional development of future psychologists.
Key responsibilities:
As the Psychology Clinic Manager, you will:
- Provide strategic leadership in managing the clinical psychology team to ensure excellence in education and service delivery.
- Oversee the planning, implementation, and evaluation of psychology placements and services within the UC Health Clinics.
- Manage group programs and placement supervision for MCP students.
- Collaborate closely with the Psychology Discipline to integrate placements into the curriculum ensuring compliance with accreditation standards.
- Maintain and foster interprofessional relationships within the University and the broader psychology profession.
- Contribute to the design, delivery, and evaluation of innovative placement models and services.
About you:
To thrive in this role, you will have:
- Full registration with AHPRA as a psychologist with clinical endorsement and approval by the PsyBA to be able to provide supervision.
- Proven experience in clinical psychology education, supervision, and service delivery.
- A commitment to fostering student success through high-quality placement education and support.
- Strong collaboration and interpersonal skills to build effective relationships within the University and with external stakeholders.
- Leadership and organisational skills to manage teams and ensure the operational effectiveness of the clinic.
- A focus on evidence-based practices and continuous improvement in education and service delivery.
