About the role
The Townsville Intellectual and Developmental Disability Mental Health Service has been developed to better meet the needs of consumers with neurodivergent disorders, developmental disorders and congenital intellectual disability who access Townsville Mental Health services.

 

In the Senior Psychologist position, you will provide intake, discipline specific assessment, brief intervention and consultation and liaison services, in partnership with Mental Health Service Group treating teams and primary care providers, for people who have a diagnosed or suspected intellectual and developmental disability with co-occurring moderate to severe mental disorders. (Including those from specific population groups such as rural communities, Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander people and culturally and linguistically diverse populations).

 

What’s on offer?
Permanent Part-time, 60.8 hours per fortnight.

Pro rata remuneration package based on full-time equivalent value of up to $157,360 p.a., comprising base salary range of $64.64 - $69055 p.h. (+ applicable allowances/benefits) (HP4), recreational leave loading (17.5%), and employer contribution to superannuation (12.75%).

Role requirements
The successful applicant must possess a four year degree in Psychology (Honours, Graduate Diploma) from an accredited tertiary institution and general registration with the Psychology Board Board of Australia.

 

Possession of a Masters or Doctoral degree in Clinical Psychology from an accredited tertiary institution, or significant progress towards this, would be highly regarded.
