About the role
The Burdekin Community Mental Health Service is a multidisciplinary Community Mental Health team that provides a range of community based, acute mental health services across the lifespan including adults, children and young people, older people, people who come in contact with the criminal justice system, Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander Peoples and people from culturally and linguistically diverse backgrounds. The service is host to a multidisciplinary Community Mental Health team based at Ayr Hospital, which utilises a case-management model as a method of improving community based mental health.

 

The purpose of this Team Leader role is to provide leadership and direction to the team and service. The incumbent may also hold a small clinical caseload as part of the multidisciplinary team delivering quality clinical care.

 

What’s on offer?
Permanent Full-time, 76 hours per fortnight.

Remuneration package of up to $172,615 p.a., comprising base salary range of $132,562 - $151,289 p.a. (+ applicable allowances/benefits) (HP5), recreational leave loading (17.5%), and employer contribution to superannuation (12.75%).

Role requirements
The successful applicant must possess a four year degree in Psychology (Honours, Graduate Diploma) from an accredited tertiary institution and registration with the Psychology Board of Australia.

 

Possession of a Masters or Doctoral degree in Clinical Psychology from an accredited tertiary institution, or significant progress towards this, would be highly regarded.
