Better Self Psychology
Join Our Supportive and Passionate Team
Are you a compassionate psychologist looking for an opportunity to lead clinical services in a warm and values-driven practice? If so, we’d love to hear from you.
Better Self Psychology is a practice committed to providing high-quality, client-centered care. Our team is passionate about supporting individuals and families, and fostering a culture of collaboration and professional growth.
We are opening a new site in Prospect and are looking for the right person to lead our team.
About the role:
As our Clinical Lead, you will play a vital role in guiding our team while ensuring we continue to provide outstanding psychological support to our clients. This role is ideal for someone who enjoys both hands-on clinical work and leadership responsibilities. It includes a generous remuneration package.
Better Self Psychology was a top 3 State Finalist in the 2022 Telstra Best of Business Awards, in the category of Championing Health. Over 24,000 businesses were nominated for the awards, which celebrate innovative business practices. We were recognised for building rewarding and sustainable careers for psychologists.
Key responsibilities:
- Inspire and lead: Model professional excellence, cultivate a positive team culture, and support career growth for team members.
- Mentor and supervise: Provide clinical guidance, one-on-one support, and professional development to psychologists at all stages of their careers.
- Shape the future of the practice: Help to innovative therapy programs, implement best practices and help drive strategic improvements.
- Recruit and onboard talent: Identify exceptional candidates, participate in interviews, and mentor new team members.
- Foster team well-being: Facilitate check-ins, conflict resolution, and team workshops to create a collaborative and supportive work environment.
- Ensure excellence in client care: Maintain a clinical caseload while overseeing documentation, referrals, and compliance with policies and best practices.
The benefits of working with us:
- We use an employee model which allows us to offer job security, with permanency for the right candidate. You will receive superannuation and full employee leave benefits. As an employee, you avoid the accounting costs and complications of operating as a contractor.
- We offer salary packaging, which allows you to access up to $15,900 of your salary tax-free.
- We offer great working conditions, with a supportive team environment to reduce isolation, access to modern facilities, full-time reception services, onsite parking, and the ability to operate with the level of autonomy that best suits you.
- We organise regular individual and group supervision to build your clinical skills and provide opportunities to address client challenges. As a leader, you will be part of a close leadership team and supported in your growth of leadership skills.
- Working hours are flexible to suit your lifestyle. We offer morning and afternoon shifts to allow you to avoid the traffic on your commute, attend personal appointments during the day, and finish or start the day early.
- We have a strong referral base and a waiting list of clients. We work with a wide range of practices and health professionals, which better allows us to match team members with their clients of interest.
- There are opportunities to shape the clinical services provided and be involved in the development of new group and community services.
- We make admin tasks easy. We are a paperless practice and have a range of tools to assist you in managing your administrative tasks. We provide access to text expanders, voice dictation, and AI programs for note taking support.
- You will have access to a professional development allowance of $1000 each year to attend workshops and seminars. We aim to share our knowledge across the team and have a growing resource library available to all.
- We have regular team events to debrief, connect with one another, and have fun! Team workshops occur on a quarterly basis, and have involved escape rooms, scavenger hunts, charity events, and weekend getaways, to name a few.
