Illume Psychology is a warm and supportive practice with beautifully appointed consulting rooms located in South Melbourne and Hawthorn amongst cafes, shops and gardens. We offer a nurturing therapeutic space for adults, adolescents and couples to develop healthy minds and support emotional wellbeing.

We are inviting applications for contracting positions at our South Melbourne and Hawthorn locations. The position can be tailored to suit your individual needs with consideration given to experience, aspirations and lifestyle. We have regular referrals for allocation representing a broad range of clinical presentations. 

Our Team: 

Our dedicated and knowledgeable team of psychologists is committed to engaging patients/clients in meaningful therapeutic experiences that address the complexity and depth of psychological concerns. We have a special interest in relational-developmental approaches, including psychodynamic/analytic informed therapy. We are seeking likeminded psychologists who appreciate the importance of the therapeutic relationship and understand (or are enthusiastic about learning) how to effectively use relational processes in therapy. We have a strong focus on delivering high-quality psychological care through ongoing development—both for the growth of our patients and the continued enrichment of our practice and team. Clinical and administrative support: supervision, peer consultation and practice management.

Excellent remuneration: payment per consultation is $145 - $165

Desirable Attributes:

-  An interest in (no experience required) relational/process oriented work and psychodynamic/analytic informed practice.

-  Clinical area of practice endorsement. 

-  Doctorate/PhD qualification.

-  Capacity to engage clients in a committed therapeutic relationship and address a range of clinical needs.

-  Ongoing engagement in reflective practice and enhancement of clinical competencies.

-  Commitment to growing with the practice.

-  Available for immediate start.  

Position requirements:

-  Full registration with the Psychology Board of Australia. 

-  Eligible to register to provide psychological services through Medicare.

-  Currently have, or willing and eligible to obtain an ABN, professional indemnity insurance and Working with Children check.

-  Experience in delivering therapeutic interventions, assessments and professional communication.
