BITE INTO LIFE represents the spirit of our endeavours at SALTIE. We are a medium sized mental health company comprised of 13 staff. Practitioners are supported in their work by a team of brilliant operational folks. SALTIE’s workplace is healthy and maintaining this is a Strategic Priority. The team is cohesive and stable – 85% of staff have worked with SALTIE for 5+ years. Our referral base is strong and diverse. Clinical and Forensic Registrars can undertake their Endorsement with SALTIE as part of their role / package.
Your work will involve:
- Providing therapy at the SALTIE Clinic
- Assessment, intervention, care team, training, and consulting with complex clients (clinical, forensic, disability or developmental)
- Facilitating clinical supervision for individuals and groups
- Delivering training and workshops, typically in partnership with another SALTIE co-facilitator
- Comprehensive assessment and report writing (risk / need assessments, NDIS, protective concerns, mental health, developmental diagnostics)
- Designing and delivering innovative experiences.
Based at our clinic in Watsonia you will also work at off-site locations around Melbourne. Work from home options are available.
You will have high levels of autonomy in your role, and you’ll participate fully as a SALTIE team member. This includes engaging in group supervision, attending Client-Free Days, contributing to peer consultation and support, and learning together in various PD activities. If your interests and strengths overlap with some but not all of the work described above, and you otherwise think you’d be an excellent SALTIE, please be encouraged to apply.
Holding registration as a Behaviour Support Practitioner with NDIS is helpful, but not essential.
To apply, email your CV and cover letter outlining how you will be a good fit with SALTIE.
