About You

You are a kind, caring, supportive, compassionate, honest, open, grounded, calm, connected team player who is passionate about “Helping People (your clients, team and others around you) …Well.”. You are also a hardworking, dedicated Professional, who reflects on your work and yourself as a human and genuinely wants to improve and grow both as a human and in your work helping others as a psychologist. You understand what reflective practice is about and value supervision and professional development highly. You often go the extra mile to provide value for your clients every session, you care about your relationships within team, the quality of service you provide, and the outcomes your clients achieve. This is what motivates you.

You appreciate full admin support, and established systems, policies and procedures to free up your time, so that you can do your best clinical work.

You feel uncomfortable when your clients attend inconsistently, are not engaging in doing the work, or discontinue from therapy prematurely, before they have fully benefitted from what therapy can offer and before they achieve their goals of therapy. You want to ensure your clients commit to therapy for the required duration and consistency of sessions and do the work necessary to get well, stay well and make and maintain the changes necessary for excellent mental health and satisfaction with life.

You are highly organised, but embrace flexibility and openness to working collaboratively with clients in a flexible way to be fully client centred in your work. Although you are motivated by excellent treatment outcomes and client satisfaction, you understand the value of having fun, laughing, a good sense of humour and enjoying your interactions at work with clients and team. You embrace self care and self compassion, you value your health, wellbeing, life outside of work and keep a good work/life balance.

You understand the importance of maintaining a cohesive and supportive team and you enjoy and feel inspired by the team you choose to be a part of. Approachable, you use psychological skills to cope when things get stressful to stay calm & grounded. You are clear and consistent in your communications with compassion for others.

You see a genuine fit between our Values and culture statement on our website and how you live your life.

You may want to become more competent and confident in preventing your clients from premature termination in therapy, or in ACT, CFT, DBT, MI, Schema Therapy, CBT, Psychodynamic Therapy with ongoing Professional Development, training, Individual & Group Supervision.

You develop excellent relationships with your clients, fellow team members and referring GP's. You want to work in a practice with an established reputation for providing excellent treatment outcomes, client satisfaction and customer service.

You like to set goals, work hard and achieve them for yourself and your clients. You like to be acknowledged, thanked, recognised and rewarded well for your hard work and achievements when your clients achieve their goals of therapy and you are achieving excellent treatment outcomes. You hope that over time these will lead to excellent career opportunities to grow and become a senior associate, clinical team leader or principal psychologist. You'd like to be a part of something bigger (our teams' 3 year painted picture vision and 10 year Mt Everest goals of helping 25,000 people...well by 2034).
