What You'll be Doing
To deliver psychological and psychosocial assessment, diagnosis,
interventions and consultation to address the needs of consumers who are living
with complex mental health problems and disorders.
The role also participates in the evaluation of clinical
outcomes of services and assists in the development and provision of
education and training programs. Additionally, the role supervises
Psychologists and other disciplines working within the LHD according to
organisational needs.
Where You'll Be Working
SWSLHD Community Mental Health Services provide comprehensive,
community-based mental health care across South Western Sydney.
These services cater to different age groups, including
children, adolescents, adults, and older persons, ensuring care throughout
various life stages. The multidisciplinary teams offer a range of supports,
including mental health assessments, crisis intervention, care coordination,
and therapy. They work closely with inpatient services, GPs, and other
community organisations to provide holistic care.

- Full
registration as a Psychologist with the Psychology Board of
Australia. Completion of an Australian Psychology Accreditation
Council accredited postgraduate Clinical Psychology qualification of no
less than two years full time duration or recognised equivalent.
- Describe
a time when you independently delivered a psychological intervention
(individual or group-based) for a young person with complex mental health
needs. What assessment tools and evidence-based treatments did you use,
and how did you tailor your approach to meet the needs of the individual
or group? What was the outcome?
- Provide
an example of how you contributed to a multidisciplinary team to enhance
patient care. How did you communicate your psychological perspective, and
what role did you play in service development, quality improvement, or
evaluation? What impact did your contribution have on the team and the
service?
- Applicants
must possess an Australian C-Class driver's license (including P1 or P2).
Those who hold a C class license (P1 or P2 included) from a state other
than NSW must obtain a NSW C class (P1 or P2 included) license within
three months of appointment. Learner's licenses are not permitted.
