Psychologist - Mental Health Service

Your role at St John of God Social Outreach
We are seeking applications for a Psychologist (Grade 2) to join our Medicare Mental Health Service in Armadale, on a permanent full-time basis.

Medicare Mental Health Centres are for adults who are feeling distressed, down or overwhelmed, or are worried about their mental health, as well as their families, friends and carers. The centres provide caring, inclusive and helpful mental health and wellbeing support in a calm, safe and welcoming community environment.

In this role you will have a unique opportunity to work as part of a specialist multidisciplinary team in the provision of integrated care to clients, partners and families experiencing mental health problems.

The Position

Provides advanced level Psychology services including a range of individualised and group clinical care based on professional training reflecting current ethical clinical practice as required.
Provides comprehensive assessment and care planning monitoring consumer progress adjusting treatment accordingly for complex management.
Liaise with multi-disciplinary team to promote effective communication including verbal and written feedback to referring Doctor.
Familiar and complies with legal, ethical responsibilities to consumers, visitors and staff, inclusive of maintaining confidentiality.
You will have experience providing group programs and individual therapy to child, adolescent and adult consumers presenting with a myriad of concerns, demonstrate clinical leadership skills and ability to undertake quality improvement activities.

Successful applicants will have tertiary qualifications in Psychology and current registration with the Psychology Board of Australia. Experience running groups and providing individual therapy using CBT, DBT and Schema-Focused Therapy will be highly regarded.

We can offer you

Salary: $126,487 to $134,871 plus 11.5% Superannuation
Permanent full-time, working 38 hours per week
