The Role

As the Manager Psychology you will manage, lead and develop psychologists across acute and subacute wards within Royal Darwin and Palmerston Hospitals, to ensure the delivery of a high quality, culturally appropriate and effective service to patients and their families.

You’ll be working as part of the Allied Health management team, as part of the extended hour’s service model, which may include weekends.

About you

You’re a skilled and strategic psychologist who’s ready to step up and lead. To be successful in you will have: 

• Tertiary qualification in Psychology and registration with the Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency

• Significant clinical experience in Psychology and hospital safety and quality, particularly in acute and/or sub-acute settings. 

• Proven management, service planning and leadership skills, with the ability to facilitate team effectiveness to achieve outcomes, in a demanding and ever-changing work environment 

• Highly developed communication skills with the ability to influence, supervise and manage workplace relations.

• A current driver’s licence or ability to obtain
