About Us
Workability Assessors is a growing Sydney-based provider of vocational and functional assessments for clients in the workers' compensation, CTP, and personal injury sectors. We work closely with law firms and insurers to deliver high-quality, evidence-based reports for medico-legal use.

As demand grows, we’re seeking a Registered Psychologist to join our team in delivering psychological components of these assessments. You’ll also have the opportunity to build a caseload of private clients and/or receive NDIS referrals.

We are seeking a Registered Psychologist to join our growing team at Workability Assessors, a Sydney-based provider of medico-legal, vocational, and functional assessments for clients involved in workers’ compensation, motor vehicle accidents, and personal injury matters. This is a flexible, contract-based position ideal for a motivated psychologist who is confident in report writing, psychometric interpretation, and injury-related psychological assessment.

The role primarily involves conducting psychological assessments for medico-legal purposes, contributing to multidisciplinary reports alongside allied health professionals (e.g., physiotherapists, occupational therapists). You will assess psychological functioning, vocational readiness, and recovery potential using a variety of clinical interview techniques and validated tools.

In addition to medico-legal assessments, the role offers the opportunity to:

  • Deliver private psychological therapy sessions (in-person or telehealth)

  • Accept NDIS referrals if desired, supported by our internal admin and billing systems

This position offers autonomy, flexibility, and the chance to work within a collaborative, outcome-focused team.

Key Responsibilities

  • Conduct clinical interviews and psychometric testing for medico-legal assessments (e.g., TPD, functional capacity, vocational evaluations)

  • Prepare clear, structured, and court-ready psychological reports in line with legal and professional standards

  • Collaborate with other allied health professionals to produce integrated assessment reports

  • Maintain accurate and confidential client records in accordance with ethical and legal requirements

  • Optionally manage a private caseload or accept NDIS referrals (telehealth or face-to-face)

  • Competitive per-assessment rates and referral-based income streams

  • Admin support including report templates, referrer coordination, and billing

  • Ongoing, high-quality referral flow (medico-legal, NDIS, private)

  • Opportunities for flexible work arrangements (remote, part-time, or hybrid)

  • A chance to be part of a growing, ethically driven organisation that values evidence-based practice

 About You

  • AHPRA Registered Psychologist (Clinical or General)

  • Experience or strong interest in medico-legal reporting

  • Strong report writing and psychometric interpretation skills

  • ABN and professional indemnity insurance

  • Familiarity with NDIS or injury rehab clients (ideal but not essential)
