Psychologist or Clinical Psychologist - Port Macquarie

Contract position | Flexible hours | Outdoor therapy option

Are you a warm, dynamic, and client-centred Psychologist looking to join a supportive, values-driven private practice? Capaz is on the lookout for a Medicare-registered Psychologist or Clinical Psychologist to join our growing team.

At Capaz, we love all brains and helping our clients understand theirs. We work with children, young people, families, and adults. Capaz is seeking someone to deliver high-quality, evidence-based psychological services to individuals and their supports, in alignment with Capaz Health’s core values.

The psychologist will practice autonomously while having access to clinical support and peer consultation within a great enthusiastic team.

At Capaz, we believe therapy doesn’t always have to happen inside four walls. So, if you're interested in outdoor therapy and incorporating nature into your sessions - this could be the team for you.

About you: 

- Compassionate, ethical, and use evidence-based practice

- skilled at building rapport and maintaining professional boundaries

- lifelong learner with a collaborative mindset. 

Essential Criteria: 

- Full AHPRA registration (General or Clinical Psychologist) 

- Medicare Provider Number (or eligibility)

- Tertiary qualifications in psychology

- Professional Indemnity & Public Liability (or willingness to obtain)

- ABN (or willingness to obtain)

- Working with Children check (or willingness to obtain)

 Desired:

- Experience with children, young people or an interest in working with these age groups. 

- working with in the NDIS system. 

What You’ll Be Doing

- Provide meaningful, evidence-based therapy that makes a difference in clients’ lives.

- Carry out intake assessments and develop collaborative intervention plans.

- Keep clear, accurate, and confidential notes and reports.

- Work closely with families, schools, and other professionals where relevant. 

- Join in regular peer consultation, supervision, and team discussions — we learn from each other.

- Stay aligned with ethical and professional standards. 

- Continue your growth with CPD and contribute ideas to improve our service. 

- Be part of a trauma-informed, neuro-affirming, and inclusive team         culture.
