About the Role
We are seeking a Case Management Coordinator to lead the development
and delivery of high-quality case management services at Ashley Youth Detention
Centre (AYDC),. This role is responsible for establishing and maintaining
effective systems, supervising staff, and ensuring that case plans are
tailored, achievable, and youth-centred.
You’ll play a key role in coordinating services that support reintegration,
liaising with internal and external stakeholders, and contributing to policy
and practice aligned with national standards.

What we are Looking For
We’re looking for someone who brings:
- Post-graduate experience in
a relevant allied health discipline (e.g. Social Work).
- Strong knowledge of the
Youth Justice Act 1997, national standards, and contemporary youth justice
practices (or the ability to quickly acquire this knowledge).
- Proven leadership in
multi-disciplinary environments, with skills in change management and
service improvement.
- High-level communication
and interpersonal skills to build strong relationships with staff and
clients.
- Experience in staff
training, education, and development.
- Expertise in case
management development, implementation, and evaluation.
- Alignment with the
Department’s values and a passion for working with young people to achieve
positive outcomes.

Condition of Employment
- Salary $110,425 to $121,907
per annum + 6.5% corrections allowance
- Classification: Allied
Health Professional, Level 3
- Award/ Agreement: Allied
Health Professionals Public Sector Union Wages Agreement
Essential Requirements
To be eligible, you must have:
- Ability to obtain or
already have a current Registration to Work with Vulnerable People
(Employment Status) – Tasmania.
- Satisfactory completion of
an approved Allied Health Professional tertiary qualification/program of
study and registered with the relevant National Board or, in the case of
self-regulated allied health professions, eligible for membership with the
relevant professional association
