About the Role
We are seeking a Case Conferencing Facilitator to
join our team at Ashley Youth Detention Centre (AYDC). This role is central to
coordinating and facilitating conferencing processes for young people in
custody, ensuring compliance with legislation and best practice. You’ll support
reintegration efforts, contribute to case management systems, and collaborate
with internal and external stakeholders to deliver consistent and effective
youth justice services.

What we are Looking For
We’re looking for someone who brings:
- Post-graduate
experience in a relevant allied health discipline (e.g. psychology,
occupational therapy, social work, or similar)
- Proven
ability to facilitate structured conferencing or therapeutic interventions
with young people and families, particularly in contexts involving
behavioural challenges or conflict resolution
- Excellent
interpersonal and problem-solving skills, including skills in
de-escalation, active listening, and collaborative decision-making
- A
collaborative mindset and ability to contribute to policy and practice
development.

Condition of Employment
- Salary
$110,425 to $121,907 pro rata per annum + 12% Superannuation
- Location:
North and Ashley Detention Centre
- Hours
of Work: Permanent full-time day work, part-time option available.
Essential Requirements
To be eligible, you must have:
- A
tertiary qualification approved by the relevant National Board and
eligibility for membership with the relevant National Board or
professional association.
- Ability
to obtain or already have a current Registration to Work with Vulnerable
People (Employment Status) – Tasmania.
