About the Opportunity:
In this role, you will have the opportunity to make a
meaningful impact on the wellbeing of NSW Ambulance staff, volunteers, and
contractors across the state. You will work within a supportive and
collaborative environment, contributing to both individual and organisational
health initiatives
- Provide evidence-based psychological services,
including brief clinical interventions, post-incident care, Psychological First
Aid, and proactive Well Checks.
- Be a trusted advisor to multidisciplinary teams
to assist managers, Peer Support Officers, Chaplains, and Grievance Contact
Officers on staff wellbeing and organisational health.
- Develop workforce wellbeing capability by
delivering targeted and organisation-wide training and education programs.
- Contribute to quality improvement initiatives
and service evaluation to enhance the delivery of psychological services across
NSW Ambulance.
- Participate in activities supporting Principal
Psychologists and broader NSW Ambulance operations, ensuring a positive impact
on staff health and workplace culture.
About You:
We are looking for candidates with the below experience and capabilities:
- A minimum of 10 years post registration experience
as a psychologist
- Extensive clinical experience
- Extensive experience in evidence-based assessment
and treatment of conditions associated with exposure to traumatic events
- Experience working with or demonstrated knowledge
of First Responder communities
- Comfortable working in dynamic environments with
energy for special interest projects or research
- Warm, capable, autonomous psychology professional
with a strong history of ethical practice
- Skilful use of interpersonal abilities to support
comfortable engagement with our diverse workforce.
