St John of God Health Care is launching an innovative mental health satellite site service, designed to bring vital trauma recovery services closer to veterans and first responders in their local communities. The newly developed PTSD Recovery Centre in Wagga Wagga offers a comprehensive, specialised occupational psychology and counselling services. We provide a suite of recognised clinical programs, complemented by holistic services like exercise physiology. This vital service is specifically designed for serving ADF members, first responders, and veterans, bringing essential trauma recovery treatment closer to their homes in local communities.

Your role at St John of God PTSD Recovery Centre in Wagga Wagga
We are seeking applications for Psychologists to join our new mental health service in Wagga Wagga, on a permanent full-time or part-time basis.

The Position
- Provides individualised and group clinical care based on professional training reflecting current ethical clinical practice as required.
- Provides comprehensive assessment and care planning monitoring client progress adjusting treatment accordingly.
- Evaluates clinical outcomes and participates in research activities as required.
- Liaise with all staff to promote effective communication including verbal and written feedback to referring Doctor.
- Familiar and complies with legal, ethical responsibilities to patients, visitors and staff.
- Maintains confidentiality and an appropriate professional relationship with staff and patients.
- Participates regularly in clinical supervision and continues ongoing professional development through education.
Successful applicants must be registered as a Psychologist with the Psychology Board of Australia (AHPRA) and have post-graduate experience working with groups and individuals presenting with a myriad of concerns.
Previous experience working with ADF members, first responders/emergency services and veterans with PTSD will be highly regarded.

- Grade 2-3 salary banding: $79,551 to $139,754 plus 12% Superannuation
- Permanent full-time/part-time | hours/days will be negotiated.
